౨ৎ what doll is this...?
i'm a twenty-two-year-old girl who loves beautiful things; creating, writing, drawing, coding, weaving... anything that i can turn into beauty!
since i was a little girl, i've been passionate about beautiful and delicate visual creations. i used to draw a book cover in paint, and then draw it open so i could write its story... and today i still have the same old passion ♡ when i was 11, i found out, by chance, a little corner of the internet called the ‘blogosphere’. there were several girls my age who dedicated their free time to creating virtual diaries and personalizing them in the most dainty and imaginative ways. i met so many wonderful friends while falling in love with html/css & image editing. the older i got, the more i became attached to design: from the modest program photoscape, i migrated to photoshop; i discovered coreldraw, and then illustrator... all to make my little places lovely to look at. i took two design courses as a teenager; one of them when i was at the tender age of twelve, and another when i was sixteen to eighteen. i am currently two years away from graduating in graphic design ♡ my desire as an artist is to weave everything i can touch into refined, pretty things; transporting people through my creations to idyllic, serene places... i'm specializing in book covers, but still have a lot of love for website & logo design... oh, and in my free time, when no one is looking, i write stories and weave little poems... my lifelong dream is to publish my books with my own design on the covers. if you want to know more about my creations, feel free to wander around here! you are my most esteemed guest. ♡
౨ৎ my personal style...
as you will see here, most of my works have their own very well-defined style. it took me years to build it, since finding your own essence is not an easy thing to do. however, the more i think about it, the more i see that the secret is to listen to yourself and notice which visual elements blow you away; it's one thing to find something beautiful, it's another to be fascinated by it. and what fascinates me is the sweet vintage of the 19th century; it is the tenderness of a mother, the naiveté of a daughter; the porcelain delicacy of a doll, its golden curls that look like a cherub's... bows and cotton, lace and wood... virgin Mary, my girlhood... the idyllic, the girl in a white dress running through the meadow, mauves, lilies, eglantines, the beautiful language of flowers, the song of the seasons, a faun, a deer, a little elf hidden in a foxglove... a faint cry, a gregorian chant sounding through the cathedral; Christ in tears, with blood on His chest. the rosy kiss Mary places in his cheeks. a chant for the deepest of the loves. the sacred, the immaculate, doves and rosaries. it's everything that fascinates me, everything that gives me the goosebumps. it is everything, for me, that represents the beautiful in human nature.
